What the program is

MyHomeGuides Text Updates is a text message program operated by LMK Media, doing business as MyHomeGuides. If you opt in, we send you messages about the topics you choose when you sign up: seasonal maintenance reminders timed to your climate, a text when a new guide is published on your chosen topics, money-saving tips on energy, insurance, and upkeep, and timely notes on selling windows and market shifts.

We do not send offers for loans, credit, or financial products of any kind. MyHomeGuides is not a lender, bank, broker, or real estate brokerage, and does not offer or arrange financing. We do not send marketing on behalf of anyone else, because there is no one else involved.

How you opt in

You opt in on this Site by entering your mobile number and actively checking the consent box next to it. The box is never checked for you. Opting in is optional and is never a condition of reading our guides, using our tools, or using anything else on the Site.

The consent language you agree to reads:

Message frequency

Up to 4 msgs/month. Recurring messages may be sent. Frequency depends on the season and on how often we publish new guides on the topics you chose.

If we have not texted you in 30 days

If more than 30 days pass between your opt-in and our first message to you, we will send a single confirmation message asking you to confirm your subscription before any further messages are sent.

Every link we send uses the myhomeguides.net domain. We never use public link shorteners.

Reply STOP to any message at any time. We will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and then nothing further. You can also unsubscribe on our opt-out page, or by emailing compliance@myhomeguides.net.

Costs and carriers

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan and your carrier. The program is supported on major United States wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
